Don’t Worry! Be Barfi!

Barfi! is a syrup with sweetness as its name is. After Rockstar, Ranbir Kapoor is playing a deaf & dumb guy where he isn’t supposed to scream even once. It’s a silent movie full of emotions with sweet background music instead of loud drumbeats.

Life starts on a mute mode for Barfi! nee Murphy (with a ponytail on his nape), played by Ranbir Kapoor, but there are many moments where he makes you laugh with Charlie-Chaplin, Raj Kapoor & even gestures of Mr. Bean having taken handy by him.

Barfi! is a very confident guy who doesn’t ponder a lot & proposes his love Shruti (Ileana D’Cruz) just after a meeting. Shruti has been in Darjeeling for holidays. He makes her learn the real meaning of life. He is a strange guy who tests the real friendship standing underneath the tree going to fall down & doesn’t spare even his love Shruti & Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) where Jhilmil fetches the key to his heart. His life takes a twist with the entry of Shruti. He serves his heart before her but she chooses her fiancé Ranjeet who is blessed with a normal personality.

His hardships bring another twist to his life with Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra), his childhood friend, who is mentally-challenged & has been abandoned by her parents. Jhilmil belongs to a rich family & could be a source of money for his father’s treatment for kidney failure. Barfi! plans to abduct Jhilmil & to loot a bank but that all bring a roller-coaster in his life.

Film becomes predictable with the love-triangle story when Jhilmil feels her love towards him but all that is worth watching with the stupendous performance by Priyanka, the talent hunt. There weren’t any ‘Wow!’ moments which leave you with any unusual feel but all through the film there would be a cute smile in your face.

Shruti enters again his life, as Mrs. Sengupta, to bring the melodrama which makes Jhilmil feel ignored & she leaves Barfi!  All this bring complications for him. The (ghatiya) police officer (in a novel) runs after him for all his life & gets just a trimmed off waist.

Film ends with a wish desired by Shruti but not meant for her. Barfi! & Jhilmil passes away without leaving anyone behind.

Anurag Basu has done a wonderful direction. The moment you feel emotional your tear would drop but with a note of laughter & happiness thanks to Barfi!, his wittiness & charm. Every single character of the film has done justice with his/her job irrespective of their term. Casting has been done beautifully as Rupa Ganguly was looking the real mother of Shruti.

Barfi! is a witty & charm personality full of goofy ideas who doesn’t complain to destiny. Jhilmil portrays a childlike girl who is full of emotions & knows who the one is really like to. Just like every girl she pampers her love, fans him during dinner, knits a sweater for him & even changes her outfit. She is a mentally-challenged girl but dares to challenge Mrs. Sengupta to not let her love take away. Shruti was in a labyrinth who to choose & never able to come out of her inhibitions, & when she dares it was too late.

Film leaves you with a lighter note on every single para written for it. Its songs blend on to the film like poetry. There aren’t enough dialogues even when Shruti & Jhilmil can speak. All through the film, Jhilmil speaks only- Barfiiiiii!, but all that was worth of it.

A truly commendable job by everyone makes it a must watch piece! Enjoy it with your family having popcorn & leave Cinema-hall with smile.

Ganpati Bappa Morrya!!

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!!

Pasta with Mushroom Sauce

125 gm Del-Monte Gourmet Spirali Pasta
1 medium Onion
3 green chilies
1 small tomato
2 medium tomatoes chopped
6 pieces of mushroom
1 broccoli
1 medium capsicum (cut in cubes)
14 almonds
1 cup cream
1 tsp Del-Monte Tomato Sauce
4 tsp cooked oats (Quaker Oats Homestyle Masala)
Dark Chocolate to garnish
1 tbsp oil
Desi ghee/ butter (prefer Desi ghee)
Sail to taste

Cook Spirali Pasta in boiled water with pinch of salt & oil for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Drain water & spread oil on pasta & toss it.

Boil Mushroom in water.

For Mushroom Sauce:

Fry 2 pieces of boiled mushroom in ghee (dry them with help of a cloth before frying). Make paste of mushroom, 1 green chilly, 1 small tomato, 7 almonds & pinch of salt.

For Pasta:

Fry mushroom, broccoli, capsicum with a pinch of salt in Desi ghee (salt helps to soften them easily). Keep them aside.

Take a pan. Fry onion & green chilies in Desi ghee till onion gets little brown. Add chopped tomatoes & salt to taste. Mash tomatoes gently. Add 1 tsp tomato sauce. Add paste of left almonds. Add cream. Stir for a minute. Mix 4 tsp cooked oats. Add cooked pasta.

Serve pasta in a bowl. Spread mushroom sauce evenly & garnish with dark chocolate.

Give a thought:    Keep in mind the quantity of salt as it needs to be mixed at every step.
Try to get simple oats instead of masala one (I didn’t get it).  :(

Enough is Enough! Soak No More.

It’s been a true adage
excess has never ever been great,
sow a seed to let it mature
but ‘Soak it no more’ that it may not endure.
To grow foetus needs its own time
but has to come timely out of the shrine.
An adolescent needs pamper
but ‘Soak him no more’, else love becomes danger.
How fair is it for a five,
soaked with bundle of books leaving him not much bright?
Competition at every nook, with an upward graph,
leaves him soaked with tension, unable to craft.
Life has been such a thrill
but vigilantes make it just a shrill,
endeavor to have a jury crown,
soaked with fury, it makes me frown.
How far is it fine
if her modesty has always been soaked in wine?
How far is it pertinent to create panic
when your kin come underneath the manic?
Populace have been soaked with corruption,
it’s no chance to repudiate their aggression.
It doesn’t behoove to get soaked in custom
when she gets trodden by the system.
Just have a look at your soaked clothes
they sob ‘Soak no more’, ‘Soak no more’.
‘Soak no more’, ‘Soak no more’ this repugnance,
everyone has been given a session,
no one is allowed to dwell here more than his duration.

Everything has its own limit & when something goes beyond its limit, it doesn’t serve the purpose it was meant for. One may not fight with the nature. No one can beat Him. He is beyond imagination. He is the Supreme Power.
But we stupid people always behave irrationally assuming it is our world, & we have the ultimate power to perpetrate the demeanor we want. We forget that our rein has been held by Him. We are all here for a purpose & moreover, for a particular duration. Before that no one could snatch away our breath & after that no one could hold us back. Then why, why this repugnance & why this revenge all the time?

Why we are so much soaked & snared in this materialistic world that we snuff out someone & rob her family in the name of custom, that we loot our motherland when we are enthroned to the sovereignty.

We are so much in rush to achievements that it leads to the blockage of our brainpower. We get circumscribed to our own wits. What to do & what not to do. Confusion has always its share of pie. We get digressed to the insecurity where we do not step toward unearthing new avenues leading to the pinnacle, but eventually get entrapped to it with a delusion that we may win only with the failure & even decimation of our counterparts. We strive to inhibit them at every cost & bring fear to cause disturbance to them.

Let’s break all those fences which prompts us to not to be the real one. Why to make someone panic? Why to follow this hollow custom which doesn’t let us live? Why to get over involved to something that we forget ourselves? Soak No More!

Just as a seed couldn’t be transformed into a plant with its over-soakage, our over-indulgence always results the worst form. Just look at our surroundings, we have so much to learn, the only thing we need to get is that concealed message. When we soak our clothes for more than an hour it results into a fragile one. Better don’t soak them. Use SURF EXCEL MATIC. It removes the stains without any need of soakage.

Got something?................Our life is just like a piece of cloth. The more we soak ourselves onto something the more fragile we become.

Try something as good as SURF EXCEL MATIC for your daily blunders & lead a happy life.

Just come out of the labyrinth of the insecurity & relax for awhile.

To the Most Happening Teacher!

The spirit which bestows us with the power of wisdom is a teacher.

Every aspect of life preaches us something best which is out of blue.

Our adversities are the best teachers which make us learn what the true life is all about.

Our failure makes us believe nothing should be taken granted for.

Our success let not lose our courage toward endeavours.

Our loved ones props the belief that love still exists.

The deception brings out the strength inherent to us.

Chirpy birds’ enchanter the belief to bring melody in every phase of life.

The weeds crop up the hope to enliven even when one is stubbed out every time.

Beautiful flowers teach how to serve the ambience with our fragrance.

The sunrise & the sunset signifies that every life has its ups & downs.

I believe our life & its experiences are the most happening teachers.

This page is dedicated to the every teacher of my life which has left a great impinge on me. To those adversities & achievements, to those who loves me & who deceived me, as every chapter of life has a message to learn for.

How have you been through the gestation till now & what have you been through this book called life? What’s your take to this? Share your dedications toward your best teacher.

Happy Teacher’s Day!!!

Not for the sake of Law

A law amendment would amend the trajectory of the real issue with just its implementation is something illusory. Amendment in The Child Labour Act for implementation of the prohibition to the working of children under 14 does not behoove to reality & its failure does not held with the government only, we too have our share of accountability. Government, society, poverty, GDP & BPL index each one effects the real outcome of this law. But which raves this problem most is the poverty.
If you think with the amendment in the law there would be some positive ramifications, you are far away from the reality. Just have a glance at your surroundings & you would come out of the delusion. Amending a law with trembled roots is just like pouring water in a pot with a hole. One may not win a race with the help of crèches. It’s just a fantasy & if not, a rare case.
Just as to crack the finest examination we need to have basic fundamentals knowledge, to make our children feel their childhood we first need to pent-up their abdomen to the best of their adrenalin which brings them hope & give feathers to their dreams that they may become a reality too.
As here is an adage-Let’s have a charity at home, I attempted to bring this change first at home. The maid, who comes to my home to perform daily chores, comes with her daughter when she is available with her holidays. It’s good on her part that she provides her daughter with education & all other basic facilities to the best of her capability but her daughter doesn’t spend her holidays on the playground alike other kids. When I told her, about the law, in the past she (maid) didn’t pay attention to my words. This time I made it a point to convey this law while getting near to her leaving no point on her end to escape from the situation. To which she replied: “sarkar to kehti rehti hai (govt. keeps saying), give me sufficient money to feed them I won’t bring my kids to work”. This destitution is the only real cause behind the situation. It doesn’t leave them to enjoy their childhood.
This transmutation which we are trying to bring in the society with this amendment is not just for the sake of law. It isn’t confined to just sending children to schools but it defines a wider course which ends with fetching their childhood back to them.
Our government first needs to provide them food, good environment & monetary help to prop up their dreams because bringing someone upon the hill & then nudging them to the ground isn’t worth of applause.
